writer-playwright

There have been moments in my career when I have looked around and thought ”What am I doing? That sky is just fabric and light” or “bears can’t play the piano, erase that! None of it is real.” It’s usually during a twelve hour technical rehearsal for a play on a Sunday when everyone else is at church.

But it’s these times when my connection to the world is most visceral. I find myself grateful and laughing at the paradox that these frauds, fantasies and lies are the absolute best way I know to help put truth out into the world.
